You Will Have What You Say

Most saints don’t walk in the fullness of God because they condemn themselves by the words of their mouth. (Proverbs 6:2) It is imperative that you watch the things that you say. Your criticism is not only detrimental to your health, but also your relationship with God. Take the following words out of your verbal diet:

“I can’t…”

“I don’t have…”

“it’s impossible…”

“God can’t do it…”

Jesus clearly warns us that we will have whatsoever we say (Mark 11:23) This can work for you and also against you. In Romans 12:1-2, Paul says,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The transformation of your mind has to be transformed by the word of God and you have to accept the word of God right where it is. You have to allow the word of God to have strength in your mind and not how you feel it should be. When a person gives an oath they are susceptible to breaking that oath. Don’t put God on your level. God is not on your level. Because God told you something don’t rule out he’s not going to do it. God cannot lie. if God gives you an oath or promise you something you can put your life on it. God deals with set and appointed time. God doesn’t deal with your time. In Gods sight a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.(2 Peter 3:8) How you value time is not the same as how God value’s time.

God told Abraham:

Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Genesis 18:1)

Sarah laughed when she overheard this news. In spite of this response, however, God had a purpose and according to the set time she did give birth. We as Christians must be followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:12). In your faith you must possess patience. Everything you need from God is in the bible. If you have a situation, find scriptures concerning that situation and stand on those scriptures until you see victory. You must keep saying the word until you see manifestation. If you need healing, look for healing scriptures. If you need money, look for money scriptures. Yes, every situation you can think of has a remedy in the word of God. Remember, after Abraham patiently endured he obtained the promise (Hebrews 6:15) Patience means you can endure through all situations and know without a shadow of a doubt that God did not bring you this far to leave you.

Don’t charge God foolishly or comment of God’s ability, because God can do anything BUT fail. Appreciate God’s ability that is working in your life. Then get in a place of submission to the will of God. In waiting on God, have a teachable spirit. Take the blessings of God into your heart and have an acceptance with expectation of God’s performance. Outside of God’s timing you will mess up. Patiently wait on Him.

If Strife is in your life God’s power cannot penetrate. Where there is strife and contention, every evil work is present (James 3:16)

When God makes a promise to you there are two things which hang on this promise:

  1. Your faith in His ability
  2. Your not speaking against Him or His promises

Have expectation. Don’t be snared by the words of your mouth. Remember to have a strong foundation with the Word of God speaking from you mouth.
