Prayer is essential as air and water if we are to maintain a spiritual life of constant contact with God. If we don’t make that connection, no matter how sincere our intentions, we will not see a change in the circumstances of our life. We MUST pray! James 4:2 tells us: “You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain it. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.”

  1. If there is no air you die
  2. if there is a little oxygen, you need an oxygen tank

Introduction

Deliverance is defined as “a rescue from bondage or danger,” in it’s purest form; it means liberation!!! Deliverance in the Bible is the acts of God whereby He rescues His people from troubles. In the Old Testament, Deliverance is focused primarily on God’s removal of those who are in the midst of crisis or danger

  • Luke 18:35-43: Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.” A mighty act of Deliverance from bondage; Built into our Lord God’s word is Deliverance 2 Corinthians 9:8
  • Mankind’s Deliverance from Satan’s power is the reason Jesus went to the cross. “If the Son, therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed,” John 8:36
  • Romans 5:6, 8; 1 Corinthian 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
  • Unfortunately many of our brothers and sisters who have accepted salvation are still very bound in their soul, which is their mind, will, and emotion, but do not accept the Deliverance of freedom offered by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
  • Many of my brothers and sisters have become so accustomed to their captivity that it is more comfortable for them to remain bound to their old habits and ways of thinking then to go free
  • Example 1: My this, my that, I live like this
  • Example 2: A name is attached to the problem

It is our set time for a new thing in deliverance and manifestation; This is going to help us understand this lesson. Keep in mind our prophetic theme for this year, “It is our season, it is our time” this is our set time for deliverance and manifestation.
